A Message from Our Founder, Mary Fedorowski
Avoa Health was born from a personal crisis that exposed the deep flaws in our healthcare system. When my mother was transferred to a rehab facility after knee surgery, she was met not with care, but with neglect. Her calls for help went unanswered for hours, leaving her scared, in pain, and without her prescribed medication.
As a healthcare insider, I was able to intervene, navigating the system to move her to a new facility where she received the care she deserved. But the experience was a stark reminder that many families do not have this advantage. No one should have to fight for basic dignity and competent care when they are at their most vulnerable.
I founded Avoa Health to be the fierce, knowledgeable advocate every family deserves to have in their corner. We serve as your guide and your voice, shouldering the logistical burden and navigating the system’s complexities so that you and your loved ones are always treated with respect, compassion, and unwavering support.
